Programs

We advocate and partner to expand the following programs, which are considered highest tier evidence based programs by the National Council on Aging and the Administration for Community Living. Movement in general is encouraged to prevent a fall, but seek counsel from your doctor before starting any exercise program and to determine what is right for you!

A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns
A Matter of Balance is an award winning program designed to address fear of falling, a major risk factor contributing to fall injury. Through 8 sessions participants learn to view falls as controllable and to incorporate simple strategies to stay standing and stay safe at home and as they move throughout the community. This program is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about fall prevention and especially for those who may be starting to become more isolated.
